What we repair

Settled and uneven pavers.

Pavers move over time. Patrick lifts and resets settled pavers to improve how the surface sits. Here is what that usually looks like.

  • Sunken spots

A low area where pavers have settled lower than the ones around them.

  • Rocking or loose pavers

Pavers that shift or tilt when you step on them.

  • Lips and trip edges

A paver sitting higher than its neighbor leaves an edge you can catch your foot on.

  • Gaps at edges

Pavers pulling away at the edge of a pool deck, a walkway or a drain.

Repair fixes the surface that is there. It does not install new paving or redesign drainage. If you are not sure what fits, ask.

The process

Look first, then lift and reset.

The repair depends on why the pavers moved, so we ask before we touch anything. We judge the cause on site, not from a photo.

  1. Pool edge pavers with a sunken gap along the coping and an orange pressure washer trigger gun lying on the deck

    Inspect the movement

We ask where it moved, when you noticed and how water behaves there, then look at the area.

  2. Section of pavers removed beside two downspouts, with bare earth base showing and an orange mallet on the surface

    Lift and reset

Settled pavers are lifted and reset so the surface sits more evenly with the area around it.

  3. Brick paver border beside a fresh gray concrete edge strip, with a bucket and a hose, and garden lights in the background

    Review the result

We check the repaired area with you when the job is done.

The estimate

What a repair estimate should cover.

A clear repair estimate says what is being lifted, what is being reset and what, if anything, comes after.

  • Driveway apron with pavers removed in a zigzag, stacked pavers and a screeded base, and a work boot in the foreground

    The affected area

Which pavers are involved and how large the area is.

  • Worker in a blue shirt and sun hat kneeling to re-lay driveway pavers, with stacked pavers and a yellow cleaner nearby

    Access and surroundings

How we reach the area and what sits around it, such as downspouts, edges and drains.

  • Light gray paver driveway with fresh joint sand swept across it and a work truck with a wash trailer in the background

    Work that comes after

Cleaning, sanding or sealing after a repair are separate stages. We list the ones you want.

Cost

What a repair costs, and what it covers.

Repair is priced on what is actually moved. We look at the area and write the scope down, so you see what is included before you approve it.

What moves the price

  • How many pavers are affected
  • Why they moved, once we have looked at the area
  • How easy the area is to reach
  • Cleaning, sanding or sealing added after the repair
  • Anything that needs checking before the pavers go back

Each stage in writing

Repair, cleaning, sanding and sealing are separate stages. We list the ones you need so you can see what each one covers.

After the repair

Repair first, then protect.

The order matters. A coating cannot fix a surface that moved, and a repair does not clean one.

Good to know

  • Repair before sealing

Sealer does not level pavers. Repair comes first, then cleaning, sanding and sealing.

  • Failing sealer too?

If the old coating is also hazy or peeling, see paver stripping and restoration.

  • Tell us if it moves again

Photos of the repaired area help us see what changed, so you can ask us to take another look.

How it works

From first call to level pavers.

Four steps, and you know what is coming at each one.

  1. Talk it through

Call, text or send the form. Tell us what you see and add photos if you can. When a job needs it, we come and look in person.

  2. Get a written estimate

It lists what is included and why. Nothing is scheduled until you approve it.

  3. Prep and work

We send preparation instructions and agree access to the area. Then we lift and reset the pavers, and add any cleaning, sanding or sealing you asked for.

  4. Walk it, then pay

We check the finished job with you and go over any aftercare. Payment comes after that, and we follow up to make sure you are happy.

Questions

Before you book the wash.

Does Patrick repair settled pavers?
Close portrait of a smiling man

Yes. He lifts and resets settled pavers so the surface sits more evenly. He needs to look at the area before he defines the repair.

Will sealing level the surface?
Close portrait of a smiling man

No. Sealing and physical repair are different services. Uneven pavers need to be assessed for repair before any sealing work.

Can repairs be combined with cleaning and sealing?
Close portrait of a smiling man

Yes. Patrick offers those services too. Ask for each stage to be listed in the written estimate, so you can see what is and is not included.

Do you install new paver driveways?
Close portrait of a smiling man

No. We repair and relevel existing pavers. New paving installation is not part of what we offer.

Can you fix drainage problems?
Close portrait of a smiling man

We lift and reset pavers. Drainage design is not part of what we do, so tell us what the water does there when you ask and we will say what we can help with.
